Susan Hawthorne #55 night after full moon (for Lizz)

the night after full moon
she’s flat headed
veiled with cloud

the moon teases us
each night
in the build up

to fullness
then is gone
in a flash

the dark phase
of the moon
lasts forever

before you know it
she’s shining her light
in your face again

  1. I like this so much Susan. It's also reminded me that for quite a while I used the moon cycle for writing - thanks to a South Coast writer I met - and it really worked.
