Collaboration #4: Robbie Coburn & Michele Seminara

Her   (Robbie Coburn)

down the skeletal roads, daybreak brings a daylight rain.
where you wake in the silvered tapestry of distance,
the futile wind in its fragility cold with each visitation.
the sun enters  from a ridge in the morning air
and desire also, in leaving the fragmented hem of your dress,
your choice of music, so far out now. glad not to pause any longer
to a presence following the bending light along the candle's wick
the morning wind bowing through your hair darker
with your beauty aligning these persisting hours.
your voice resting in this space, to wake to a silence,
the day already so filled with light around you.

Pause   (Michele Seminara)

sun fragments the tapestry of cold morning air.
silver roads bend light through distance.
I am so far out now only her voice
aligns my fragile mind. her presence
persisting beyond visitation.

along the skeletal ridge of hours
daylight bows then breaks    desire
waking to futility—
her beauty, when she leaves,
darker than daybreak.
