Efi Hatzimanolis #87 'Holding My Tongue'

The tip of my tongue rests
just behind my upper front teeth
docked against my mouth’s roof, 
where the letter N resides.
Alert and aloof, it bides its time.
No, not and now come from here.

  2. reminds me of the 'how old am I riddle'? as old as my tongue and a little bit older than my teeth. Nice. the hard palette generally goes unsung in poetry and prose
