Robbie Coburn & Michele Seminara: Collaboration #6

Poem to Distance  (Robbie Coburn)

an emptiness now irrigates the farms.
time now to think of the days beginning
before the sound of wheels moving along the asphalt
persisting slowly into another landscape.

I have come to love this image of you, the unchanged figure
throwing shadows across the car bay
thinning the flesh and removing the body.

                         with your image gone
there can only be rain

washing over our footprints
long buried in the dirt.

Gone  (Michele Seminara)

your image throwing shadows
            into emptiness; a long landscape
beginning before flesh.

your footprints irrigate the earth
            persisting across asphalt; your body
washing in the rain of days

                                                         slow time unchanged.
