Kit Kelen #226 - kindness is the only cure

226
kindness is the only cure

she sees the bags now under the eyes
as if a mirror would not show

in the mirror let's have the garden
we can make that moment be

just decide just decide

those who brought us fade and fall
they are not themselves

those surviving us bring down
there is a darkness to that

night falls
and is there any difference?

just decide decide

all the tortured
how is it hidden?

one will escape, run
dig a way out, be hunted and hide

decide just decide

it is truth and fact pursue
time is intimate with them

will become savages if let
how otherwise?

decide

they do not know why it happens
let morning find

might mine be the eyes up
it is the disease, not anything meant

the animal will not know death – though that's not quite it
all sorts of things are known without knowing

you simply have to decide

anything's ahead between us
before an end who knows

love is beyond of something
something like not mattering what

it's for you - decide

one will hide and will be the same
we are speaking behind their backs

it's in their best interest
heard that before

one real world will provide
imagination all necessary props

if you're able to decide

that would be the grain of truth
having to go, as always – time sped

as if there were elsewhere than this
we have to go away, and we've been

as if digging one's grave
were the last thing

it's one way with them
and one with the others, another

to each as each decides

is there a single fact of us?
consider the curious qualities of a season

because once I was smaller
than anyone ever thought I could be

that was a kind of love
you can't see

they must have had to decide

there isn't any moon then
there's a tune to which we fade

just the one for each of us
forgetting never twice the same

Thank you Kit, what an excellent and haunting meditation on time and inevitability.
