Cure # 73 Claine Keily

She prescribed
suitable medication for those
who love rivers
and animals
and who are curious

She dealt out her hand
through the pain
of the other
spoke slowly
so it felt
she was that other
thinking aloud

The doctor listened to
all the gargled tales
of maladies
of the changing colour
of skin
the wretchedness of mornings
and found an affinity
as though she were
someone who were fit
to translate signs
from dignitaries
or to devote herself
to the study of
obscure languages

  1. Very nice, I really feel deeply concerned by what's is either expressed or unsaid in this poem, many implications to be found in fact!
