Kit Kelen #488 - a peer into the bole

488
a peer into the bole

a stretch
companionable

such tarn makes mountain of the tree

breathe with
breathe through

all because rain fell here once
there must have been a cloud

you know it in your own limb's stretch
let's say truth of tree

and into the namelessness spread
blank of up

as midflight noted
eyes sideways godwise down

every tree a point of Earth
no two days the same
nor moments

peer into the bole

breathe into your own reflection

at last the traces leave me
as all to mulch we go

lightning lives in the branches
here where the sky has touched
