Rob Schackne #462 - Trees

Trees

You say it’s still cold there
I’ll trade a week of this
for a week of yours
and a moment of either one
for a moment of this sky
we can’t even see

forgive a thick forest
Chekhov by the fireplace
chilled vodka at grandmother’s
the smell of intellectual cedars
before the wolf arrived

Vodka? It’s horrible.
