Kit Kelen #639 - Havisham (Satis House)

639
Havisham
(Satis House)

a room I rarely enter now
clocks stop here
this one will be last

all reading
and all in a dream

all webbed with what I can’t dispose
loves lost there
all echoed song the walls soak
rats run

we have let crowd in the edges
hard ground falls to us
strewings of leaf

it’s tomb
no one wants touch

lightning strikes
everywhere at once

outside all say spring

you can slow yourself to a truth like this

this sleep in us all
and it comes out here
must have meant

there’s still the sunshine of it
and that comes to a tune

here’s time
the lodger
the dislodged
difficult customer we are

any self’s all corridors
and alleys, streets run off of them
into other lives

how few of us make boulevard
and get procession gone

I’m with them
I am of their cause

words sentenced
lost to light
