Sun go sky grow paler
outside watch this day end
with birds the dogs the insects
a microwave inside the house
today my Sikh friend taught me
his own greeting Sat Shri Akaal
another mate gave me bottled water
a third mate bought me dinner
my landlady asked me to church
I see the doctor on Thursday
and all I have to do is
stay out of trouble
and write
